A Holistic Approach to Learning
Cherwell Class, taught by the dedicated Miss Luckraft and supported by Miss O'Connor, follows a topic-based approach to learning that goes beyond the traditional curriculum. While our pupils initially engage in play-based activities, we gradually transition to more whole-class-based lessons, ensuring a balanced and engaging learning experience.
Developing Key Skills
In Cherwell Class, we place a strong emphasis on developing our pupils' foundational skills, such as those assessed in the Phonics Screening Check, which takes place each June. By focusing on these crucial building blocks, we lay the groundwork for our pupils' future academic success.
Nurturing the Whole Child
At Radley CE Primary, we are committed to the school's vision of providing a "rich and fulfilling education that goes beyond academic achievement." In Cherwell Class, we strive to create an environment where our pupils can thrive, develop their talents, and discover their passions, in line with our core values of Resilience, Respect, and Relationships.
Keeping Families Informed
To ensure our families are kept up-to-date with the progress and activities in Cherwell Class, we regularly share updates through the whole-school newsletter. We believe in fostering a strong partnership between home and school, as we work together to support the growth and development of each child.
